One of the finest examples of a five-sided coastal fort built of brick and stone constructed along the Eastern Seaboard of the United States after the War of 1812 is located at this state park that also features nature trails, a sun bathing and swimming beach, fishing opportunities, and picnic shelters.

Swimming Area:
10 a.m. – 5:45 p.m. Memorial Day until Labor Day, if staffing permits
Fort Area:
March, April, May, September and October 8 a.m. – 7 p.m.
June – August, 8 a.m. – 8 p.m.
