The newly renovated, 93,000 square foot Aquarium features North Carolina's aquatic life from the mountains to the sea. Special exhibits include a 32-foot waterfall, river otters, a recreation of the local pirate shipwreck \"The Queen Anne's Revenge,\" touch tanks, and a 306,000 gallon tank that features sharks and a replica of a nearby sunken German U-boat.

REGULAR HOURS
9 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily. Closed Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day and New Year’s Day.
Open 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. on Thursdays in July for Family Night.
ADMISSION
Admission fees are the same at all North Carolina Aquariums. The fees support new programs and exhibits, operations and maintenance.
$8 -- adults
$7 -- ages 62 and over
$6 -- children ages 6-17
Children 5 and under - Free
Angelfish
Nearly 40 new exhibits and graphics illustrate the habitats of some 2,500 to 3,000 animals.
North Carolina school groups pre-registered in advance -- Free
Bus drivers and school employees such as teachers, assistants and principals accompanying the group are admitted free.
All other chaperones accompanying the group pay half-price admission.

Membership in the North Carolina Aquariums includes unlimited free admission for a year to all three North Carolina Aquariums, plus many other benefits. An annual family membership is $50 and an individual membership is $30.
The 32-foot Smoky Mountain Waterfall will greet visitors in the Mountain Gallery.
DISCOUNTS
